CategoriesRisk of malaria is present in Soth East rural areas throughout Iran from March to November. You will require Chloroquine + Proguanil (Paludrine/Avloclor Travel Pack) as the preferred anti-malarial medication for these areas.
Northern borders with Azerbaijan between May and October require chloroquine antimalarial.
All other areas are very low risk, adopt bite avoidance measures.
