The eastern inland areas of Sabah and inland forested areas of Sarawak (including Sepilok) are high risk and require prescription only anti-malarials of either Atovoquone and Proguanil Generic, MalaroneDoxycycline or Lariam.

The coastal areas of Sabah( including Kota Kinabulu) and Sarawak are low risk and require bite avoidance measures.
