What is the risk of malaria in Bangladesh?
Most of Bangladesh is rated as very low risk for contracting malaria. There are exceptions and these are mainly located in the south-east of the country around the Chittagong Hill Tracts and Cox's Bazaar. Unfortunately due to the large numbers of migrants arriving from Myanmar, effective as of end 2018 it is recommended that patient use anti-malaria tablets for areas in between due to the potential for changes to mosquito activity in the area.
