Maloff Protect contains Atovaquone and Proguanil. These are the same active ingredients found in Malarone and the Generic Malarone that we sell so many of.
Maloff is manufactured by a well-known drugs company Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, who are based in the UK. It is the only anti malaria tablet that can be sold "over the counter" without a prescription from your doctor!
You would need this medicine if you are planning a holiday to a country or area where malaria is present. Malaria is found in tropical areas near the equator and can be found throughout Africa, South America, Asia, and Australasia.
Maloff will prevent infection by malaria parasites known as Plasmodium. The most dangerous is Plasmodium falciparum. No anti malaria tablet is 100% effective. This means that mosquito bites should be avoided by using insect repellent and mosquito nets. This is very important at dusk and at night. Mosquitoes and biting insects are most active at these times.

Preventing malaria is easy because Maloff Protect is taken once a day, at the same time each day. It should be taken with food or a milky drink. This will maximise the effectiveness and minimise the side effects. You start taking this anti malaria tablet TWO days before entering the malarious area. You take daily whilst there and then for seven days on leaving.
