The Canesten oral capsule treats thrush at the site of infection and should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. The cream is designed to treat itching and soreness.

Dosage:

Children over 16 and adults up to 60 years - Take the single dose capsule with a glass of water, and apply the cream to the affected area two to three times a day.

It may take up to a week for the Canesten Oral Capsule to work, so please be patient and continue to use the cream daily to help with any external soreness or itching

Unfortunately, thrush can also be passed on to sexual partners, so it's really important that they also take treatment as men in particular frequently show no symptoms which could lead to reinfection.

Contains:

One oral capsule of Fluconazole 150mg and a 20g tube of Clotrimazole 2% w/w cream.

Caution:

Seek medical advice before using if under 16 years or over 60. Do not use during pregnancy. Women taking oral contraceptives should take extra precautions if sexually active whilst taking fluconazole.
