Difflam Sore Throat Spray helps to relieve painful sore throats, and can also be used after dental surgery.

What is Difflam Throat Spray?

Difflam is used for those who are suffering with throat conditions such as:

  • Mouth ulcers.
  • Sore throat.
  • Sore tongue or gums.
  • Discomfort from teeth or dentures.

Can this be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or think you may be pregnant ask your doctor or our pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Who is this suitable for?

Difflam Throat Spray is suitable for both adults and children who are needing relief from the mouth or throat.

Directions for use

AgeDosage
Adults, adolescents and elderly. Spray 4-8 puffs to the sore area every 1 ½ to 3 hours.
Children 6-12 years of age. Spray 4 puffs to the sore area every 1 ½ to 3 hours.
Children under 6 years of age. Spray 1 puff for every 4 kilograms of body weight, up to a maximum of 4 puffs, to the sore area every 1 ½ to 3 hours.

Who is it not suitable for?

Do not take Difflam if:

  • You have an allergy to any of the ingredients listed below.
  • If you have a history to asthma, speak with your doctor before using it.

Contains

Benzydamine Hydrochloride Glycerol, Saccharin, Sodium Bicarbonate, Ethanol, Methylhydroxybenzoate, Mouthwash Flavour, Polysorbate 20 and Purified Water.

Side effects

Like all medicines Difflam does have side effects, however not everyone will experience these.

If you experience any of the following, stop taking the medicine immediately and contact your doctor:

  • Allergic reaction.
  • Numbness.
  • Itching.
  • Difficulty in breathing. (Very rare).
